Pluggo Raindrops VST Substitution for MAX 6

Jeffrey Krieger's icon

I need to update a MAX 4.6 patch that used the Pluggo VST 'Raindrops' to work in MAX 6. I am looking for some kind of water lapping sound that interacts while I play the electric cello. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks, Jeff

The old Pluggo Raindrops is now part of the Pluggo For Live /M4L Pack. Maybe you can copy or recreate the patch from there.

One rather fast possibilty would to just replace the plugin~ /plugout~ with inlets and outlets and load the patch into a be bpatcher.

Thanks for the response. That is an idea. I thought there might be some sort of granular synthesis to substitute for the Raindrops VST.

Does this Pack exist anywhere in a form that non-Live owners can access? I know you can hack M4L devices, but not Packs, right?
I may have got this wrong, but I thought there was talk of making this available to the rest of us, at some time, or at least those of us with Pluggo licences. Or something.
Cheers

Not that I know. Maybe I will just use a sound file that I could trigger in different ways for that portion of a piece.

Max Patch
Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.

Btw, here is the raindrops patch-copy from M4L

Thanks for this. I'll give it a try in Max 6 and report back. Jeff

Jan, the Raindrops patch-copy you posted actually does work in Max 6. I am very excited about that. What a great idea! Thanks so much! So I am assuming some of the others from M4L will work as well.

Great! Good luck with your perfirmance!
The Pluggos should all work as Max patches - well that's what they are. Not sure though what the license situationis. One the one hand they are part of m4l which has a license of it's own, on the other hand Cycling74 stated somewhere that m4l devices cannot be protected from sharing. Maybe some "official" could shed some light on this issue?
