Poly~: how to clear audio vectors when muted?

      Hi,
      Can you post a patch? If you are using send~/receive~ try the "clear" message. If not, it's certainly better to fade out the sound, before muting : you can use adsr~ for that matter.

      you could tell the poly instance not to close instantly and then feed the fft silence for a bit. this is one fo those ugly workarounds.

      Yes, I agree, clearing outputs is way more important than clearing inputs. The outputs create audible sound!
      Maybe its time to get rid of the concept to be forced to use pass~ to achieve this. It seems more logical that a mute message will clear all out~ object vectors always!!! I am pretty sick of this behaviour.
      Feature request: let out~ be muted (clear the last vector to zero always) with the mute message to thispoly~ or with a mute message to out~. That way it could work with poly~ and pfft~. (keep pass~ for compatibility purposes...)
