I am a contributor to a project which comprises many Max objects and over 100 .maxhelp files. Our users find it helpful to be able to view and search documentation of these on the web.

So far our solution to this is to export .PNG files for each one, but this approach is 1) not searchable and 2) very time consuming.

Is there any way to automate rendering or generation of these so that we could create materials to view and search outside of Max? I'm open to any ideas on how to do this so that we could more easily generate documentation that is easily accessible. I have loads of programming experience in various languages if any of these have libraries that would help: Python, Java, C#, C++, etc...

The Max Sdk might help at least to automate png export. Here's an old thread
