Practical question regarding cabling lengths in installation

I have a practical question conserning an installation I'm preparing. For this installation I'll be using a vinyl record player, pass the signal in to Max using a MOTU 1248 AVB sound card, do some processing, and then pass sound out again via the same sound card to an external amplifier with XLR connectors.
Do anyone know how long the RCA cable from the record player preamp to the sound card can be before I risk loosing signal or picking up interference noise?
Also, using Jack to XLR cables, how long can the stretches be from the sound card to the amplifier?
    Thanks!

If you want the vinyl player to be far away from the 1248, I would use a phone->line convertor close to the turntable followed by 2 DI-Boxes. Then you can use long _balanced_ cables. Jack to XLR… as long as the cables are balanced (the Jack has to be stereo), you can use very long cables (>100m). The 1248 analog i/o are balanced.
