Problem with visual feedback from scope~

Hi all. Apologies for what is a very likely noob question.
The problem is that the scope~ object is not displaying any visual feedback of the input signal. I've tried quite a few patches including the help patches and none of them are working properly. I haven't had this problem before today and have been through the inspector, preferences and options hoping to find the problem but seems I'm not getting anywhere. I've also just updated to 7.0.3 in hope that might rectify the problem as it was occurring in 7.0.2 but the problem remains. I'm running max(x86) on windows 8. I'll also attach the simple patch I've been working with, but suspect that it will likely work properly on another system.
I seem to be running out of ideas and am at a bit of a loss in finding a solution, so thought I'd ask here in case someone else has had, and solved this issue. Any help would be much appreciated.

You're right: I tested your patch on my MacBook Air and it works fine. Unfortunately, I've no idea how to help with your problem.

Thanks for trying to help me out Jonathan. I had a feeling this would be the case and it seems strange as scope~ has been working fine for me before today. Hopefully I can get it sorted.

[scope~] works for me but I've got the same problem with [spectroscope~] in max 7.03. Works ok in 7.02.

Hi Stephane. Are you running Max on Windows 8?
These sound like bugs to me, but I wouldn't really know and am completely baffled.
I've emailed support so we'll wait and see what happens.
