processing applets in jitter

    Hi all,
    I just want to know if anyone have previously worked with processing applets in jitter. The processing applets are basically java, and jitter handles java, so how can I get the processing applet to work with jitter, where I communicate between jitter and the processing applet via osc?

      Check out maxling http://jklabs.net/maxlink/ I haven't looked at it in ages, but still seems to be in (somewhat) recent development

      While i havent moved "logic" over, ive moved drawing code almost verbatim between processing and a js/openGL with Jitter . P5 drawing code is basically OpenGL, you just swap out a few function names and use a Max render wrapper in JS.
      I can send an example patch and corresponding P5 patch (all very simple) if you want.
      As for the logic areas, the Java should be portable. Ive no experience of it, but ive heard someone was able to run processing from within a max java applet, using something like
      public class MyDemo extends PApplet { void setup() { size(200, 200);
      rectMode(CENTER); noStroke(); fill(0, 102, 153, 204); }
      void draw() { background(255); rect(width-mouseX, height-mouseY, 50, 50); rect(mouseX, mouseY, 50, 50); } }
      (taken from the processing environment page)
      No idea if its true, but I dont see why it wouldnt be. Id actully love to see a writeup/how to on that. being able to use osme threaded java libraries for processing for and have max to the signal processing/drawing could be hot/best of both worlds?
