questions about standalones & folders/paths

    Nov 17 2006 | 2:57 pm
I just had a look in the archives after reading the manual, but
    couldn't find anything relevant.
In my Max patch I use .wav files in a folder somewhere on my disk. I
use path -> thispatcher and some elaborate sprintf stuff to load this
path in ubumenu's that load .wav files in buffers~
Works fine. When I build a standalone however, path -> thispatcher
gives an empty string as a result.
I tried including my folder with samples in the collective/
standalone, but I don't see the folder anywhere in the resulting
package, so I am at a loss how to refer to .wav files in the
    ubumenu's. Ca
How do I refer to external non-max stuff in folders included in a
    collective/standalone?
    Example:
Path to a sample (obtained via path -> thipatcher etc.) in Max patch -
    > iPod:/bert/patch/whatever/samples/sample1.wav
What is the path to the file sample1.wav in a standalone where the /
    samples folder was included?
    Thanks for any insights!

search for the message to max called sendapppath in the archive.
Peter Nyboer made a lot of examples.
