In the realm of real-time generative midi data, I was wondering if anybody had heard about Max patches that deal with voice leading, i.e. common-practice harmony and counterpoint rules.

I am imagining a Max patch that would analyze (hopefully in real-time) several continuous streams of midi data, compare them to the "rules" and output a result. 

Since it seems to be a pretty big undertaking, I just wanted to check if there were any patches that already exist as a starting material.

I don't know of any patches, but would be an interesting project for sure, so I just wanted to respond so I'm reminded to check in here from time to time :)
