You can use DLS synth as plugin in max and record it's output.

otherwise you will have to loopback your sound output device into recording app,

using something like blackhole, rouge amoeba loopback or piezo, soundflower etc,

or if your hardware can do so plug output to input to record it.

Some audio interface offer that internally.
