I'm having trouble getting record~ to actually do any recording... :p I've attached the patch where it's supposed to do the recording. I've probed for the signal and there is a signal going into record~, start and end points also seem to be properly set. So I don't know what's going on. Also, signal processing is on when trying to record.

Any insights are appreciated as always. Thanks!

buffer~ needs a size argument. @size or @samps followed by how long you want it to be should do the trick

Thanks a lot! Does an attribute always have to be set for the object to work?

no worries. yeah, buffer always needs a length when recording in to. though, when opening a file the import message will automatically set the buffer to the length of the first imported file. the importreplace message will resize the buffer every time a new file is imported.
