Reporting the Max MIDI mapping status

Hi,

I'm searching for a way to report/get the status of the Max MIDI mapping mode (on or off) inside Max itself.

Do you know an object or a trick that can do this ?

If not, it could be a nice next feature for the [mappings] object.
