RME FF400 and midi

hi I am pretty sure quite a lot of max users have a FF400 - I just received mine. So far it works great, but i did not have time to explore it yet..
I see on the manual than you can access the internal settings (pan, volume etc, routing maybe...) by midi messages
Did anyone tried it (controlling the FF400 from max)? Could it replace the (old, macOS9) rme objects that kit clayton (if i remember well) did, and which were never ported to osX?
    thanks for any info

I'm not sure if the MIDI implementation is different on the FF400, but I found that on the FF800, it's a simpler to use [dsp driver monitor] and skip the MIDI.

It's an MSP thing. Check pages 54-55 of the MSP Tutorials and Topics manual. I'll post my patch when I have a chance.

it's ;dsp driver monitor, i.e. a message to the DSP. There are some explanation in the MSP manual.

are you on mac or Window?? (I am not sure if this ASIO thing relates to FF400 on MacOSX - since osX i don't see Asio drivers on mac anymore....)
      thanks a lot
