I'm an graduate animation student, and perhaps I have no business posting to this forum as I'm really really new to this whole interactive realm, but I got a deadline for a project coming up, and wondered if there existing sources for code to do the following:
I made an animation of sexy ladies doing sexy things, and I'm trying to make a replica of a "Cail O Scope" which is an old motion picture device that allowed the user to "play" a series of stereo images by turning a crank.
I have an arduino, I have a rotary encoder that provides "Up to 24 full quadrature outputs per revolution"
I have a super simple jitter patch that has a rate control setting for a stereo quicktime clip.
What I don't have is the proper code for an arduino sketch to output data that could be translated into rotation speed by jitter. I also don't have a clue how to translate the arduino data to read the speed of rotation and connect it to the rate of quicktime player.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated, in return, I could offer collaborator credits when the piece is exhibited.
