Hi there, I've been using Max for a few months now and have needed to start saving my own externals. I'm trying to save an external which contains a js. object within it. The problem is that when I load the external into a new patch the js code is missing from the js. object, how do I overcome this?

You mean JavaScript code run within the js object, right?

2) Create a new folder and save the patch into it.

3) Add js object into your patch with parameter - the parameter will be the name of the file with the js code, eg. "js myjavascriptcode.js"

4) Type some code and close the window with the editor - Max will ask you where to save the file - select folder with your patch and name file after the parameter ("myjavascriptcode.js" in this particular case).

If you close Max and open your patch again the file with JavasScript code will be automatically loaded into the js object (double-click on it to open code editor).
