I am unsucessfully trying to save and recall a soundfile's path in M4L. I have tried this using a textedit object (as I would do in Max) in the device and Max Api DevicePreseter (I want the filepath to be saved outside the device so I can save and recall values from various devices in one preset).

Unfortunaltey Max Api DevicePreseter does not save non-MaxForLive object's values and there is no M4L-object that I can use to achieve this, isn't it?

Is there a way I can get DevicePreseter to do this?

Or is there a better way in M4L to achive a soundfile to be loaded by a preset outside its device?
