Sequencer Midi Note Off

I have mapped the row values to midi values in my sequencer and have them all passing through a message box "$1 64" which is passed to midiformat then to midiout.(It will eventually be passed as freq to my synth patch). This triggers midi note on values but I cant think of a efficient way to cut the notes short, well before the next value is triggered any. I know you just pass $1 0 to the midi note inlet of midiformat but cant think of a way to trigger that accordingly other than by delaying a bang to it.

Why don't you (both) do it with a coll?
and by the way there is a object called flush: coll and flush in action with chords:
