    why use polyieeeeeeh~ to mute shit?
    answer:
    because sometimes you have no other option to choose one of many subcircuits in a patch.
    in the following example we switch the fft frame number by swithing between patches.

      Have you tried using begin~ (now "quasi obsolete") or mute~ for turning off audio processing for sections of a patch?

      begin~ is a signal object itself, that would be a dumb approach for saving CPU.
