We will be transitioning to an updated cycling74.com website on Tuesday, April 11th at 9am (Pacific Time). During the transition, the site will be in a read-only state and a few things will be affected during that time.

You will not be able to post to the forums, comment on articles and submit projects. Everything else will function normally. This read-only state may last up to 24 hours (depending on DNS propagation).

It looks like all Google search results are now dead links. Also, how does one go about searching the forums for specific text?

Looks like google DNS is still catching up. Thanks for your patience while we get this all settled in

Update to this - we shall be updating the redirects shortly so that google searches will work properly with content from the old site.

+1 to Alexander's search quesiton - the 'search whole site' function doesn't return nearly as relevant results as the old forum search used to.

Searching the forums is practically impossible now. Many keyword searches lead to thousands of articles that are impossible to filter for Forum entries. I can't see any filters. Any fix in sight?

All my searches with "and" return similar: "Parse error on line 1: cat and dog --------^ Expecting '(', got 'STRING'"

(Also, I couldn't copy and paste that error from your webpage into this text area—I had to paste it to simple text first and then back here.)

I'm going (and getting) mad. I need a filter and some feedback from the search tool itself.

Adding type=forum to a search (e.g. "additive synthesis" type=forum) seems to do the trick, although I'm sure there's more tuning that can be done....

also new lines are too far apart, sometimes I want to return without starting a new paragraph?

Hi @do...while, I just tested the Report Form and was able to send a ticket. Can you walk me through what happens when you try to submit? How are you unable to fill up the required fields? Or if you prefer, you can email us at support@c74 and we can try to sort it outside of this thread. :)
