Stop max from opening in runtime as default

    Recently, whenever I click directly on a patch file it opens in runtime as default. In order to work on patches I need to either first open max by clicking the app itself or drag the patch onto the app.
    Not a huge problem, but strange and i'm sure there is a simple fix....any ideas?

      the creating date and the version number is what makes documents open in one app and not the other.

      Thanks ROMAN. Is there a way of changing this so they open straight into max rather than runtime?

      If you are on OSX, the information pane for the MAx document (Cammand i) you can set the 'Open with' menu and select the app rather than runtime. It is also possible to set the selected app as the default for all documents of that kind. There is probably a similar procedure if you are on Win...
