Hi, I am making a sampler instrument with M4L using [waveform~] with a [buffer~]. I load the files by dragging from the file browser to the [waveform~]. 

All my dials are set to Automate and Store so upon reloading a Live set that uses the instrument, it loads the values that I set them to, but the [waveform~] and the [buffer~] always reload empty and I am forced to drag the file from my browser whenever I reopen the live set.

Essentially I was wondering how to store the filepath of the most recent audio file so that I can set the [buffer~] to it whenever the patch loads. I know [dropfile] outputs the file path so I am trying to use it, but I am still having trouble finding a way to store it.

Unfortunately am on mobile so can't provide the patch right now.

You can use a [pattr] object with parameter mode enabled, and data type set to “blob”.
