Yes, a bug in your patch (which nobody but you knows how it looks). In case you wanted to attach a patch you need to paste it as text into the body of the mail..

      Nothing is pasted above.
You're using the forum. The forum does not do attachments.
Copy&Paste as text. Or use email.
This is about the third message this weekend repeating this.
      Happy Easter anyway.

When I use this patch it works fine. But when I want to close it max crashes. Or if I have the patch open and try and quit max, max crashes. The soundfiles in the buffers are sort of long, but I made another version of this patch without the buffers and the thing still crashed. If anyone can figure out what's wrong I would greatly appreciate it.
      thanks, Nick

no problems here. of course but i don't have the object synth2.1
note, your patchers for key selection could be simpler.

      OK,
I used your key selection idea. thanks, makes a lot more sense. But I think i figured out the problem. I deleted the scrub~ object and the patch didn't crash max when i closed it. Then I put the scrub~ object back in and everything seemed to work fine. I don't know why deleting an object then putting it back in would work, but It seemed to do something.

I'm using the Primal drummer patch by Gary Lee Nelson and I'm having some timing problems. I've used this patch before and it worked great. But now, instead of even rhythms I'm getting dotted rhythms like a swing pattern. Is overdrive supposed to be on? I have a felling the problem is in my set up and not the patch because the patch worked fine before.
thanks, any help would be appreciated. nick

Since it is MIDI, overdrive should be on. There are lots of graphics going on and they will interfere with MIDI timing. Cheers, Gary Lee Nelson TIMARA Department Oberlin College www.timara.oberlin.edu/GaryLeeNelson

just a thought, what do these posts have to do with my patcher?

I had the "Scheduler in Audio Interrupt" off in the DSP status window. After I turned it on it started working normal.
      thanks, nick
