textbox in vst hosts

    Hello
I am making a plugin including a textbox in the graphic interface. When the plugin is loaded to a vst host, you can't type in the textbox. Is there a list of graphical Max objects that should not be used inside plugins ?
    Regards, -j

      Definitely don't use ubumenu.
WRT to textboxes - the problem is that many plugin hosts capture keystrokes for themselves, and don't pass them on to the plugin interface...

Agree for the ubumenu, that I replaced with a umenu For the textbox, I added a dialog box for entering the text
Also, number boxes can't be set by the keyboard in plugin mode.

This is not necessarily the case, since that is dependant on the behavior of the application that hosts the plug-ins. Som applications support this, and some do not. We don't really have any control over this, so it *will* work if the host supports it.
