timeline question

    Hi all,
I am using a timeline to start/stop soundfile recording & playback at
specified timepoints. How do I get the action patch to send out a
'stop' message when I stop the timeline playback? I.e., I have
'start' and 'stop' messages in the timeline track, but if I stop the
timeline playback after sending a 'start' message and before getting
to the corresponding 'stop' message, the file continues to record or
play... Is there a quick message built in to the timeline system, to
report it has been stopped? If so, I can't seem to find it.
    Thanks,
    Steven

if you trigger timeline to stop from outside of the object's interface (via a key, etc), you can route that message accordingly.
probably not exactly what you want, but it would work.

Yeah, I thought about that - controlling the timeline from the action
patch itself - I'll likely just go that route.
      Thanks!
