Question tangentially related to Max -- does anyone know of a device that can produce a sound/tone (or any noise, doesn't matter) at a consistent volume that has a 1/4" output?

I want to use a volume pedal (guitar foot pedal) to control various parameters inside Max. The way I've set it up is by outputting an audio signal of a consistent volume from Max, routing it through the volume pedal, then back into Max and using an envelope follower to determine the "numerical value" the pedal is at -- ie, scaled from 0 to 100 so it's useful for controlling things in Max.

I have an extra input on my interface that I can use to go from the volume pedal back into Max, but my interface doesn't have an extra output, so I can't really use Max to generate the sound being input to and attenuated by the volume pedal. I'm hoping there's an obvious hardware solution that's cheaper than a new interface that I haven't thought of yet.
