after a short while working with Max 7 and finding my way around the improved UI i found that an additional parameter for sidebar pinning in presentation mode would be great: I'd like to be able to have side-bars unpinned when the patch is in presentation mode, but pinned when in patching mode as an easy default setting.

Among others this would make migration from Max 6 patches to Max 7 faster: I like to work with sub patchers that I open as small pop-up-style windows. When the window size is small the sidebars take quite a lot of space. I know I can open all of them one by one, and set the patcher attributes for sidebar pinnings...

2nd: Is there a way to completely hide the sidebars? (No sliding in when the mouse cursor is at the edges? ) When performing with a patch and the side bars are hidden, a little imprecise mouse action to set UI controls at the edges of a patch can make the sidebar appear and overlay/cover the UI element I want to reach. An extra mouse movement away from the edges and back is necessary. If it doesn't exists I'd be happy to see it in the future :)

It could be something like a "force hide" option in the pinning attributes and/or combined with a key-mouse combination to show a "forced hidden" sidebar. I.e: when option key is down and mouse cursor at the edge sidebar will show.
