I’m looking at making a patch in Max/MSP that will allow music to be created and formed according to the key strokes and mouse movement during a computer game. This would essentially allow computer games to have music that responds to them, rather than the other way round.
The main problem i can see so far is being able to access the key and mouse information whilst in the game i.e. whilst Max is not the active window. Any ideas?
I’m having a similar problem with a similar project! The solution I’m working on is a mod for the game that will hack a udp port into it that will output information about it. It may be worth looking into a similar solution for yourself?
