i'm currently (on and off since months) struggling as for getting a bidirectional communication going with the behringer x32 digital mixing console. the basic problem of the console is: you send it OSC messages on port 10023 – how ever it replies on the source-port (which is a randomly chosen port in max and does not match 10023). max's vanilla [udpsend] object doesn't allow for defining the source-port (obviously only the destination port), so it's of no use as for communicating with the x32 bidirectionally.

the sadam library how ever offers externals that are capable of defining both ports. anyhow, i can't get it to work and i'm thinking my mistake may lie somewhere very obvious. although i (assume i've) set up the [sadam.udpClient] correctly, it doesn't appear to send anything to the x32 – or i simply can't manage to format my OSC message correctly. dunno..

I'm also working on patches with communication with an X32 desk (in fact it's an M32, but it's the same), and this thread helped me a lot a few months ago. Thanks a lot for that !

I have another question... Is there a way to "reboot" the sadam udp client ?

I mean... If I disconnect the CAT5 cable between my computer and the desk and lose connection, and plug it again, I can't establish the communication again without relaunching the whole patch....
