Just sorting out paths for something I'm finishing and I always find paths very frustrating in max. I use this below to point to a subfolder next to my app to pull in files. It works sort of - the first time it loads however if the path doesn't exist in file paths it only picks up the path after some object have loaded. Up until now I've closed and reloaded and that sorts it. I've never understood however why some objects balk this first time and some other don't. For example text object seem fine but jsui objects always fail on first load. Is there any solution to make sure the path is in filepaths first before objects are affected?
