Hello, we're trying to open Max7 and Max6 in 32-bit mode to work on a patch that uses old objects that don't work in 64 bit mode.

Even if the box "open in 32-bit mode" is checked, both Max 6 and 7 start in 64-bit mode.

The OS we're using is 10.7.5
Any idea of how to make this work?

Switching between 32 and 64-bit is a bit quirky for me at times. I don't know if this matters, but it seems to help... Make sure Max isn't running when you change the setting. Also make sure you are clicking on the actual app icon in your Applications folder.. not the shortcut on the dock. Good luck.

I'm frequently switching Max from 32 to 64 (and vice versa) on my own laptop Macbook OS 10.8 and never had issues with it.

here it looks like Max just won't start in 32-bit mode. It's always in 64 despite the "open in 32" check box.

I'm always checking the box when Max is off and from the get info window in the Max.app file

it's the most recent version of Max so I was wondering if there was an issue with the OS 10.7
