just wondering if anyone has had any success running multiple patches that involve using fiddle~ in max for live with a pc?

I've created a patch that takes the signal from my electric viola to control sine and saw wave generators using fiddle~. The moment I try opening a second instance of the patch in max for live (I have a desktop core i7 pc), my sound gets garbled with cracks, and pops. I've tried increasing the vector size from 64 and upwards to 2048 on my firewire hubs (an edirol FA-66 and a presonus firebox). No success.

Running a release copy of windows 7 ultimate, i was able to solve the problem by increasing the buffer size to maximum, but with an 8 core machine, this shouldn't have been necessary. Since I've installed windows 7 professional, this solution has not worked.
