Indeed when I use the MaxMSP runtime in my Apps folder, all is well,
Java or no Java. Weird.
I removed all traces of js from my patch to track down the crash. Now
I get another crash:
Thread 20 Crashed:

Sigh. Any help appreciated.
Does the MaxMSP runtime app have to be in the Applications folder?
Does the collective have to reside in the same folder as MaxMSP runtime?
