Right now I'm having a few issues with Max 4 Live which I hope some might be able to assist me with.

So I've been trying to control Drum Rack device parameters through Max API paths. Originally this post was going to be asking if it's possible after hours of trying to find the right path last night.

I was on my Desktop trying to find the way to control channel volumes within Drum Rack, first manually tying the path. After no success I decided to look at the API tools, the Max Api ADial and the Max Api AMap1. When I loaded them and looked at Drum Rack, each device would show up as "unspecified", and would only allow me to look at Macro controls of unspecified... As such I thought that the Drum Rack channel volumes were not controllable with the API.

Now on my laptop and I checked the same, but this time the Api ADial is showing all the correct parameters for the Drum Rack.

So why are the Drum Rack parameters being found through API paths on my laptop but not on my desktop?

Exact same versions of both Live and Max, both recent installs, and installed into the default location.

You can see the issue in the screen shot.

If I select Track: Drum Rack > Device: Drum Rack - I can see the Macro parameters.

If I select Track: Drum Rack > Unnamed - I don't have parameters at all.

When on my laptop I can see every parameter within the drum rack.
