I want a simple patch that can grab video from my Sony miniDV camera connected via Firewire .

you need jitter, and check out the jit.qt.grab help file.

That kind of thing is amply covered in the Jitter Tutorial. Do a

search in the PDF for jit.qt.grab. Heck, why not actually read

the whole tutorial? There's lots of useful stuff there.

on the page there's a detailed drawing/and on the drawing is the name I took
