I've been working on a two video mixer, which I've attached (also included the touchosc layout, most of the functions are only easily accessible with it). Basically I'm wondering how efficient/inefficient one section is, which is the sub patches col-xfa and kl-xfa. I've used the jit.gl.pix scalebias and jit.gl.pix kaleidoscope from the examples folder (in each sub patch respectively) with each being followed by a jit.gl.pix xfader to mix the dry and wet chains. At the end of each piece I'm finding I can only get everything to work when I use the output_matrix setting on my jit.world objects, and I am wondering if it is really inefficient to be converting the texture back to matrices and then back to textures all those times. I think the problem is that the crossfader won't accept two textures, is there any way to crossfade between two textures? Thanks

It's very inefficient. Whether it becomes an issue is dependent on the resolution of the graphics and your hardware specs.

You can do it all on the GPU. The composition shaders are key here ("co." prefix). This is an example I got off the web. I don't remember the author:
