I have a textfile containing x,y,z coordinates, 1 per line.

I would like to read these coordinates into a 'jit.matrix 3 float 100', so 100 values at a time, the textfile contains +10000 coordinates.

Is there a way of doing this, going in steps of 100 through this textfile and putting the data in a matrix, preferably at a decent framerate of say ~20 fps?

Use Uzi with a counter to go through each line of the text file send this to zl.group 100. send this to jit.fill which fills a matrix from a message list in one go.

Thank you for the reply. zl group was indeed the way to go, although I ended up using matrixset and stored it all in there (non-realtime) and then through the indexes of matrixset to 'play it'.

THe patch below shows how I did it, but I have one question:

What would be the best way to get rid of the metro and just have a 'start' button to do this without creating a stack overflow problem..? The minute the data goes into the zl group, there's nothing below that to trigger the next numbers to get out of the coll.
