for locating a simple file plus extension i'm using the 

locatefile_extended function, which works as expected.

Now, i'd like to search for a file including a relative path, as in 

relpath/__init__.py . I can't recursively search for __init__.py alone, 

since this (with a different relative path) could appear several times.

I'm not really familiar with the path api functions but i guess there's 

some possibility to wade through the search paths.

By the way, i realized that path_eachdo, which i wanted to use doesn't 

seem to be available under Windows (linker error).
