I’m working in some list processing tool, to make max give me some midinotes for a specific scale in a specific octave range. Now I want to use this, to test if a midinote is part of the list, and if not, round the incomming midinote to nearest number.
I have an idea for checking if the incomming midinote is part of the list (zl sect), but I don’t know what the technical term i’m looking for is called, when I want to round to nearest midinumber obtained in the list. (was that a wierd way of saying it?).
(i don’t know how to program) so I asked my friend who told me that in "not-objectbased-programming", the term is "floor" and "ciel". I’ve searched the forum but didn’t find anything.
