freelance max/msp jitter patch maker

I am a Canadian installation artist trying to find someone to create a small patch for me. The programmer i use to work with is out of town and i am needing this done fairly quickly.

What I am possibly looking for is a video mixer that only plays video files from the hard drive. It does not use any input devices. So basically when i press for example 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 it plays a video file. When i cut from 1 to 4 the video that was playing at 1 should be paused and 4 should start playing.. and so on. i do not want anything fancy except it would be nice to be able to fastforward/rewind/change speed but just an option.

If anyone could help me with this, i would appreciate if you could let me know your rate and how long it would take.

Thanking you

Yes, something like cell will surely cost you less than a personal developer working for you. Especially if you want modifications, later improvements, later MIDI support, support when you update your system or OS, etc. Once, you will try a midi controller, and you will realize it’s often better than a computer keyboard. You will surely play with video parameters as well.
