Hartmann Nuke controller
I am trying to find a way to utilize my old Hartmann Nuke controller
without buying "Nuke4All" (mainly because I want to learn more about
Max along the way, not because I am a cheapskate..;)
It is not recognized with the HI object, so it seems there should be
an external (like with the wii-remote). I didn’t find one in
maxobjects.com or any reference to the nuke controller in the list
Google is a bit tricky, it finds many things, few are actually a
reference to the controller, though, much fewer have anything to do
with the controller and/or Max, only one speaks about (unsuccessfull)
tries to integrate the controller into a windows XP project…
has anyone had more luck? or has anyone gone through the external-
programming themselves? that unfortunately is beyond my programming
any help appreciated!

I would suspect its a MIDI device. Did you try a simple midi monitor?
On a Mac it would just show up automatically Audio/Midisetup, don’t know
If i’m not mistaken the nuke controller workes with usb. If its not recognized by the HI object you can try the serial object in combination with a USB adapter (otherwise it won’t work). You can read about this in the max reference manual page 529.
Goodluck with it.

yes, I’m on a Mac, but it’s not in AudioMIdi setup. Hartmann went out
of business and I think they never wrote a proper MIDI driver for the
thanks for your help, though. I will keep looking around.
