First post on here but I was wondering if you would care to offer some assistance.

This patch in theory seems very simple, it has been an eon since I did some basic Max tutorials and my knowledge is elementary at best so apologies in advanced.

I have Ableton & Max for live and I am looking to make a simple Max Plugin

OVERVIEW: The Max plug will go in the place of a MIDI effect. I want the plug in to process a MIDI note by playing the original MIDI note but adding a second note as well as the original - in essence creating a MIDI chord. Each time the original note is input I want the value of new MIDI note that is added to be raised incrementally, until it raised by a certain value (lets say 4 for example). The note will then return back to its original value and start the sequence again.

Example:
1st Instance
Input: C1
Output: C1 + CSharp1

3rd Instance
Input: C1
Output: C1 + Dsharp1
