I have 2 lists, I want to know the number of same elements between 2 lists.

If the 1st is 1 2 3 4 5 6 , the 2nd is 6 5 4 3 2 1, number of same elements between 2 lists is 6, I tried zl.compare, but I can not get correct result.

How to compare the number of same elements between 2 lists ? any object can I use ?

the task/the question itself is very tricky.

because what should happen when the first list is "1 2 3 4 5 5" and the second list is "5 5 5 7 7 7"?

does that make 3 matching elements or only 2?

or does that make 6 matches? no wait, it is 12 matches, isnt it?
