I think the only way to do it is to overlay the filtergraph with a transparant lcd, disable the automatic selection with the mouse, and do all the mouse handling yourself based on mouse coordinates returned from the lcd

Looks like a missing attribute. Could be a valuable feature request...

Then I request it! Perhaps I should make a new post. Perhaps not.
