Basically, I would like to use .cfg file from a game called Dota 2 to get Game State Integration data to be send straight to Max. I have been looking about but can't find a solution. I found a GitHub page where someone did a C # interface which provides all the data, but I'm running a Mac on OS X 10.9 and can't open it up with Xamarin Studio. Is there any way to set it up so I could use Max to read the data in real time instead?

you can use the "text" object to read from any text file (such as cfg). you can use the "filewatch" object to report when the file has been modified, and reload it with the text object if so.
