Yes, Syphon is working with Max7 without any special tweaks. Post your patch.

All my old patches from max 6 with Syphon work perfectly with max 7.

could it be a 64-bit related issue?
did you try the newest version from https://github.com/Syphon/Jitter [and get rid of older ones]?
