On Max7, I'm not able to get the images from my capture card Blackmagic design "Ultrastudio Express" when my settings are in avf mode. It detects the card with getdevlist message but the getinputlist message has no effect...

It's only working in 32bits/QT mode as previously... i.e. 1080p25 is still unlisted while it's working properly in the other software like Millumin and of course Blackmagic Media Express.

I know about the trick with Black Syphon but I would love that the most bought capture card would be natively recognized.

I have the same issue with the Blackmagic Ultrastudio Mini Recorder.

Would also like to know if there is any fix for this.

that's a bummer. i'd hoped the AVF engine would better support these cards. i will be looking into this, but it won't be before january when i'm done with my travels and will be able to gain access to a capture card.

Having just bumped into this problem myself, I'm wondering if anyone knows of _any_ video capture device that plays nicely with jitter in avf mode. If anyone has anything working on the mac platform, I'd love to hear about it....

actively working on this for the next update. 7.0.3 was only released to address specific issues with yosemite.

yes, this feature has been in place since 7.0.4, and seems to be working great for most people.

Mainly, it will only capture up to 1080p30 (30 FPS). Many newer consumer cameras will only output 1080p60 from their HDMI ports and won't let you change it to 1080p30 or 1080i60 (interlaced) even though you may be able to change record to an SD card to those resolutions. If your camera will only output 1080p60, then you CANNOT capture it with the Ultrastudio Mini Recorder unless you put the signal through a hardware frame rate converter (like the $300 Decimator MD-HX

as mentioned above, jit.grab (using the default avf engine in mac, and the default qt engine in windows) now has the option to use native blackmagic drivers when grabbing frames from blackmagic devices. any device that works with Black Syphon, will also work with jit.grab.

So if I understand correctly the Blackmagic UltraStudio Mini Recorder only works with Max 7.0.4+? (I only have Max 6.1.10)
