what do you think what is more effective to create buttons/led GUIs:

100 30x30px picturecontrol (with a picture and one rollover or active picture), or 100 jit.pwindow displaying a matrix of 30x30 (with one rollover or active frame)

why i am asking this? well, if half of the 50 objects will share the same state (like 50 of them switching from frame 1 to frame 2 when receiving a message) one would only need to do the frame change once, and then send the new frame to 50 pwindows ... does that make sense?
