i use modul8 in jitter by using jit.desktop. i use 2 computers and then send the jit.desktop over an network using jit.net.send
hope it helps
I’m trying jit.desktop, but I’m getting tons of dropped frames. The modul8 video is running smooth direct, but within jitter it’s at like 5 frames/sec or less… :(
I’m wondering if there’s a way to physically hijack modul8’s output or preview screen into jitter as to bypass any stalling or latency issues…?
Maybe someone has done this with another vj or video program? Piping the video direct into jitter as opposed to the apple/macbook display/
Thanks for the responses so far!
did you find out how to get the modul8 output into jitter? would be great!
I’m wondering if anyone has had any luck inputing from Jitter to Modul8?
it seems to be possible with syphon:
but the explanation on the midithief site seems to be down :-(
hi there i use syphon to vdmx and madmapper it work great! are you still having a problem?
i try to get jitter in modul8 too with syphon, but it doesn’t work, and i would like to have a soluce ! Curious if anyone has been successful with this too…
Hello. Jitter in modul8 works ! You have to follow this tuto : http://themidithief.com/2011/06/syphon-input-in-modul8/ , but you must have quartz composer 4 and in this, you have to install Kineme Core 0.5.1.
So, when you open Quartz composer and preference in Kineme, enable unsafe mode and authorize all preset modul8 in Kineme.
After then, you have to download :
the plugin QCrehab and drop it in library>graphics>patches
and the plugin syphon and drop it library>graphics>plugin
