I have a poly~ with each voice containing a live.observer monitoring the input_meter_level of an individual track. When they receive the ID to monitor, they all immediately output one reading and then do nothing, except the observer monitoring the track which the device is in, which operates properly, continually outputting readings. I cannot figure out why this is. If I move the device to another track then that observer begins outputting continually, and still all the others remain silent. I'm too burnt out to work on it any further right now so I thought I might post and see if anyone has any ideas. If you do, Thanks!

whoa. I just realized that it's not necessarily the track the device is in that works correctly, but the track that's selected, which has me scratching my head even more...

okay so I changed input_meter_level to output_meter_level and now it works as you would expect, for every voice. I have no idea why this should be, but monitoring the output instead of the input should work in my case for the time being.
