Ive been using the live.step object and controlling its sync etc. with metro @interval 10 ticks @active 1 etc. (see the compressed code for details) into transport and it works fine, its super tight and works fine. where I am having issues with is restarting the sequence after x measures. I've tried using the [settimeshift $1] message to knock the sequence back x amount of steps depending on its current position but it only seems to work once per instance and doesn't really reset the sequence anyway, rather it just plays that step and the sequence continues where its left off.

I've also tried using a counter based sync method but this isnt as tight upon the first start of playback and takes a piped quantised bang to set the sequence to 1 for it to be tight. with this method I can restart the sequence by resetting the counter though. is there a way to have a counter based sync that is tight from the start or ideally can i reset the sequence using the metro interval 10 ticks method?
