Is it possible to have a max for live device which allows you to fill up a drum rack with samples from a set folder?

if this is the case, could anybody point me in the right direction?

but i don't think access to the drum rack is currently implemented in API.

i did see a windows only device though, which created symlinks, which you can drag into drum rack, which is a dirty workaround i guess.

ah yes that was my first approach to get random samples into the liveset. indeed very dirty

that was years ago and i'm still waiting for new possibilities. if we could drag n' drop files from m4l devices, that would already help very much with alternative file browser devices..

I'm really interested in filling a drum rack with audio clips (in fact filling it with a Simpler that holds the audio clip).

I know that you can do it from the Push controller, as the script is in Python and use the LOM, it might be possible to achieve it (from either Max4Live or Python)
